Default Memory

So I had my first experience with memory issues today on my Pearl today

I woke up to find all of my emails, text messages, call history deleted. I didn't know what was happening so I tried to do a restore with the back up file and I got an error message that said "not enough free space" - and then my address book was gone too (I imagine because it erased it to make room for the replacement)
So I took the phone back to Verizon and I was told I just needed to take the battery out and put it back in, and that I should be doing this at least once a week.

Now I have read in a few threads here that I need to be doing this daily. I love the BB, but I am slightly disappointed in the memory issue and the battery and I am considering returning to get the Curve. I am also having a hard time adjusting to the keys. Am I going to have the same problems with the Curve that I am having with the Pearl (minus the keys, obviously)? Do different models have different amounts of memory? I do not run ANY apps and I am not a heavy user (light to moderate, depending on the day). My BF gets 5x the email and is on his phone 2x as much as me and he has never had this problem in almost a year (he has the WE though) - and his battery will last him 3 days without charging, I am charging mine every night.

I just don't want to trade in if I am going to have the same problems - I will have to pay the difference in price.

Any help for the newb?

You will have less of these problems with the curve. There is more memory and a better prcssr. Overall Curve is just much better for heavy users. Pearls are awsome too but seem to be a better fit for lighter users. My first BB was a Pearl and I loved it because of the size-but I eventually went to the Curve for better functionality.
Peace

Or you could try getting a SDCard to store your ring tones and pictures.
