Lost trackball, how do I get to my messages?

I have a Pearl 8130 and after my 3 year old got ahold of my phone, I no longer have a trackball I'm up for the new every 2 phone credit in about a month so I don't want to get a new phone before then.

I have read the directions for disabling the call from home screen but I don't have that option when I go to options and then general options.

Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks!!

I called a store when mine broke and they just gave me one. I offered to buy it.

yea you cant really get to messages with out the track ball unless you lock your, then unlock it, this way messages will be highlighted then hit the enter/return button, but even then you cant really do much after that, t-mobile gave me a track ball for free, they are not that expensive if you buy them online, and not that hard to install either
