Just a black screen

I have read about the nuked blackberry, but I don't think that mine is that way.

On sunday I went to look at my phone and noticed the screen was white with the hourglass....like it restarted itself. Well it turned back on and then monday morning turned off. I haven't been able to bring anything up on the screen. I can plug it into my computer and it connects. It never disconnects unless I unplug it, so its not rebooting itself. When I hit the power button after a little bit I can move the track ball around and it makes noises. If I push the power button again it acts as though it turns off and the service light turns green like it is fully charged and the track ball doesn't make a sound.

I don't know what is wrong with it. Is the led screen or whatever done? Can I replace it or should I just try and find another phone?
