jpg.rem trouble

A friend of mine emailed me a picture from their blackberry that was encrypted as a jpg.rem is there anyway to decrypt that picture without the original blackberry that is was taken on? I have tried several solutions including getting realplayer and roxio and neither can display the picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
