I hid all the icons.. big mistake

Okay, everyone has been taking my phone and going through it at school. and so i decided that i would just hide all of the icons because i knew how to unhide them. So every single one was hidden. and now, when i press the white button with all of the black dots to view where the icons use to be, it's blank. like i had planned. So then i press the button again in order to select the "show hidden" option. However, when i press the button again, nothing comes up. Instead it freezes my phone. The two side key buttons are set to camera and text messages. So i still have the ability to carry out the useful functions. However, is there any way i can unhide my icons? by going through any of the options set into the Camera and Text Messages?

Did you put them all in one folder or hide them individually?
