I Have No Data Plan, Can I Connect via USB and use the Internet from my Computer?
I have the Telus Pearl 8130 CDMA without Wifi.
All the threads I've read tell us how to tether a phone so that our laptop can use our phone's internet. I want to do the reverse.
I have no data plan and don't want to pay for data, yet I want to install some apps. If I connect my phone to my computer via USB or bluetooth, can the phone use my home network's internet?
I saw this link here: [hubpages .com/hub/How-to-Connect-to-Internet-with-Your-BlackBerry-without-Paying-For-Data-Plan]How to Connect to Internet with Your BlackBerry without Paying For Data Plan[/url] but frankly it doesn't make any sense. I don't see how it would allow me to surf without data charges.
Can someone with some expertise please comment?
