I can't either, nor can a lot of my friends that have BlackBerry. Don't know why but I asked a sprint associate and he didn't know either but noticed it on his as well.

I had the world edition and now the 8330 curve from alltel. I can't send emails while on the phone. They won't "go" until I hang up. Same with texting. I have alltel. My bf has a pearl with alltel and he has no issues. Interesting question

It makes sense that you can't send emails while on the phone - CDMA cannot handle simultaneous voice + data. You should be able to text though while on the phone...

Emails, sms, mms, BlackBerry Messenger are all considered the same in some sense. Incoming while on a call is no problem but sending will not go through til u end the call.
