How well is your phone connected? On your BB 8130, Go to options, then status. The top option is "Signal" and some numbers. Whats yours say.

At home, my signal is: -88 dBm

My Signal is pretty good at home, fluctuates between -80dBm to -85dBm with solid EVDO. My office at work unfortunately isn't so hot.. usually around -100dBm and I loose EVDO often

at work I'm always going between -82 dBm and -96dBm

Anyone have lower? I wonder what the performance notice it is between -90ish to -50ish or lower. I didn't know until now that lower is better.

At home I'm at -86 to -95 and at school I'm usually in the same range sometime lowers.

Based on everyone else's responses I would say anywhere between -75 and -95 dBm is good. I am at work right now, and my is jumping between -87 and -93.

At home it is usually -86 to -89...I'll have to check at work. I almost always have the solid 1XEV.

-108dBm with no service at all at home in the house
-92dBm sitting in my truck with the door open and the BB in the dash mount at home... This gives me 2 - 3 bars and edge and will barely let me start the Telenav or download apps

I'm way out in the boonies and NOBODY has service in this area. Basicly I have to lie about my ZIP code just to get a phone and give them the correct address for billing. LOL

Have it for work on the road away from home.

Interesting is the BB push email seems to work great no matter how bad my signal is. Way to go RIM.

I never noticed how much it changes...on my drive to work it was -80, now at work it's jumped to -90.

-80 at work right next to a window, -95 at home and I start to lose EVDO.

Compared to my fiancee's Voyager though I've always got more bars while she barely has 1 1X bar in the same location in our house.

At home -110 with no service in the house, no one has service out here way out in the country.
At work -80 to -89 depending where I am in the factory.
