how do you get free internet on 8120?

I don't know a way to get internet without a BlackBerry data plan. That's not free. Opera mini and Bolt are alternatives to the BlackBerry browser, but they still access the internet thru your BlackBerry data connection.

there is way to get free internet... you could try opera with WiFi.

Then as was said, get a BlackBerry Data Plan.

You can't just get internet for free, your plan needs to include it. Just like you need the proper plan to make calls on your cell phone, you need the proper plan to browse the internet.

I reviewed my providers business plan for this year. after much debate they determined that offering service without charging a fee was not a viable business plan.

Haven't heard of free internet access on any blackberry device, although there are many free vpn working on android,maemo and symbian smartphones. If somebody can just port a working free vpn on blackberry, I'm sure that would solve your problem. But as it is you need to get a data plan to get access to the internet on your blackberry. If you really want free internet, buy either android or symbian smartphone; google free internet and I'm sure you'll get plenty of tutorials on how to get free internet up and running. Btw I have people's vpn working seamlessly on my nokia N900, totally free.
