Can I disable automatically dialing from my home screen on my 8130? Can't seem to figure out how to do it - or if it's even possible. Thanks.

That option isn't there on my Pearl 8130.

Could it be a Verizon thing?

Sorry! I wasn't paying attention. That amoung other shortcut are NOT available on a Pearl, only on a QWERTY device, like a Curve...

I found the option on my VZW 8330 by hitting the green call button. Then I pressed the blackberry menu key. Click options/general options/6th option down is "dial from home screen". Highlight it,click it and you get your choice of yes or no.

I have to give thanks too. Had to do a google search and the title of this thread fit it exactly. Unfortunately the search function on the forums itself isn't that great.
