Default How to change different carrier linked OS in unlocked Pearls?

I have 2 unlocked Pearls, a 8100 and a 8110. At bootup, the 8100 has a Vodafone logo and the 8110 has a Telstra logo. I currently use Amaysim (by Optus) data plans for both. I would like to know if I can upgrade the OS from the ones provided by Vodafone/Telstra to the one provided by Optus which is newer. If yes, how may I do it?

    Details as follows:

    - Currently in 8110 (Telstra)
    8110 4.5 Bundle 139 v4.5.0.102 Platform 2.7.0.85

    - Currently in 8100 (Vodafone)
    8100 4.5 Bundle 108 v4.5.0.81 Platform 2.7.0.78

    - Optus latest from BB website for 8100/8110
    8100 Package v4.5.0.174 Apps v4.5.0.124 Platform 2.7.0.92

No, you can not change the start-up screen.
Not matter how many times you change the OS, it will remain the same.
Perhaps life is just that...a dream and a fear.

Thanks but no, I don't care about the startup screen. I want to change the default OS to a newer Optus OS for the same phone.

Deleting the vendor.xml file is key when you want to load a different carrier's OS.

Yes, I found that out but the trick is there are 2 places where vendor.xml existed.
