You could forward your hotmail to your gmail account.

hotmail will work on the accounts setup many moons ago like mine.

I have an @live.com email account from hotmail and no matter what email address I use, I get this error:

You're only able to forward mail to a custom domain or an e-mail address that ends in hotmail.com, msn.com, or live.com. Please try again.

Just a question, if I can get hotmail to my outlook via ms office outtlook connector, will I be able to use desktop redirect to make it work ?
