Help Unlock please!

Hey can someone please help me get an unlock code for free.
I am only 17 years old and I don't have a credit card or anything so I can't get the unlock codes online, plus I don't really want to pay.

I got this phone from a friend but I am on a different provider so I can't really use it, basically its just useless for me right now.

I looked online on how to unlock it but I need an unlock code.

I had a debit card at 17 24 years ago.

Who is your carrier? What phone? Where are you going? I don't think the 8130 can be unlocked.

I'm fairly sure it can be. And from what I gethered from the original post was that he just needed an unlock code, so if you call your carrier and say your going on a trip when your actually not they will give you an unlock code.

The OP never said what kind of 81XX they had, so not sure if it can be unlocked. Here's the choices for the Pearl.

8130 is a CDMA Pearl, it doesn't have a SIM card so can't be unlocked. Won't work at all on Att, Tmobile, or any GSM carrier.
8120 is a GSM device with Wifi, this can be unlocked and used on GSM networks.
8110 is also GSM but without Wifi, so it can be unlocked too.

Device model can be found by going to Options> About.

As for an unlock code, post in some of the threads that the unlocking forum has, and win one. You could try to get your friend to call their carrier to get the code, but if the phone isn't on the account anymore then they won't do it. Your carrier definitely won't give you an unlock code so you can use some other carriers phone on their network, so what has been said above won't work...

Oops I was thinking 8120. One of the tags said 8120 I believe. I'm on my BlackBerry now so I can't see, but I was going by 8120 because of it. I know for a FACT though that if you call your GSM carrier they WILL give you an unlock code for free. Just say your going on a trip or make something else up.

I see it now, one of the tags does say 8120...

I've never heard of a carrier unlocking a phone that wasn't theirs, I know most will unlock their own phones. It's worth a shot for the OP though.
