By loading symbol I'm assuming you mean the hourglass.

If it makes you feel any better, it's not just "you Pearl users." All Blackberries outside the CDMA Curves have only 64MB of flash memoury - so fear not, it's not just you.

(smacks hand on head) Read the above posts. Sounds like a low memory issue, won't necessarily be solved by just deleting apps you don't use...

In conjunction with everything they said you should alson try maxmem. The application works great just make sure you pay attention to what your deleting before you do it and also always backup your device first.

MaxMem is nice, but it has serious flaws. I suggest the OP try Pete6's CrackMem - a much more permanent solution to the whole memoury issue.

Do you have the facebook app installed ? If so that's probably the problem

Wait, I am having this same problem (hence the searching for this thread). It just started today. I followed the instructions above, and that stupid hourglass is still there. Will deleting Facebook fix it? Facebook has been on there all along, why would it affect it now?

Update - I delted facebook, and that totally fixed it. As soon as it booted back up, I had a ton of emails from today and yesterday.

    Thanks!
