I love my Pearl 8130 (well except the fact that I can't send picture mail normally, but oh well!!)

Anyway I had one and when I would plug in the charger (either the wall charger it came with or the igo in the car) I would randomly get a red light, black screen and then a hard reboot. Takes several minutes to come back up, reverifying security, etc. It got VERY frustrating so I called Sprint and they sent me a replacement handset.

Well.... it's doing the SAME thing. Is this a known issue with the Pearl 8130? Anyone?? Thanks in advance for any help!

Did you try replacing the battery? i.e. are you using the same battery in the new handset? Might be a bad battery...

No- they sent me a brand new battery with it as well. I just don't know what is causing the problem. It's extremely frustrating though.

Since you just got a new phone and battery, what about trying a new charger? Maybe the charger is shorting out your phones??
