i recently payed off my contract on ym blackberry pearl and am now using it on pay and go, it will not allow me to check email or use messenger or facebook ive read that it may be due to not having package data?? is there anything i can buy to allow me to use all these features such as a monthly plan but pay and go?? i simply cant live without my blackberry!

Did you check with O2? I'm not familiar with them but I believe you're right that you need a data plan for these things. Check with your carrier to see if they offer a pay as you go data plan, but I doubt that something like that exists....
