Good day all,

I have been unable to locate an answer to my little annoyance here. I like to listen to my Pearl's media player over the speakers in my car through the AUX jack on my radio out of my headset jack. When receiving calls, I will leave the jack plugged in and hear my callers on my car speakers and I can talk through the speaker phone. This works great, however, I have to manually switch it from handset to headset everytime I receive a call. This kind of eliminates the point of being able to keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel with a handsfree set up. This also happens when I try to make a call. I have to dial the number, press send, and then select the headset mode while it's ringing.
Is there a way to have the phone answer, and place calls in headset mode with my patch cable plugged in? I'm pretty sure I've been through all of the phones options menu's and profile settings. I've tried to create a new profile, for the car, but can't seem to find any options for headset only.

mmm i'm not sure but i do plug mine into the aux jack of my car.

this is going to sound weird, but sometimes, if i've plugged it in at the right angle, i don't need to set it it to headset mode.

Mine used to do that automatically until I upgraded to 4.5. From what I have read on here, 4.5 changed it where you have to manually change it each time you want to use the phone. I agree it sucks bigtime. Not all the upgraded features of 4.5 have been positive.
