I set it up so my phone would beep when I got a new email in my gmail account but I don't get any notification. I have to physically go into my Gmail and refresh it to see the new email.
Did you go into Settings in the Gmail app and check the box next to "Notify me when there is new mail in my Inbox"? If so, did you wait until the app checked for new mail. It sometimes takes 10 minutes or so. It doesn't check constantly.
I have checked the "notify me" thing, but the blackberry isn't looking for new e-mails, it wants me to hit refresh to look for them--and then it kindly notifies me about the new e-mails I can see. Any suggestions?
