I use a gmail account currently with gmail application on my 8130 from verizon. I was reading up on some stuff and iwas wondering if setting up my email address on my phone using IMAp would get hte emails faster to my hpone than the mobile application. I tried searchign for this topic but coulnt find an answer ot my question.

Mmm, I get my GMail through the application pretty fast.. haven't tried setting it up on my phone.

I set up gmail through BIS and that's pretty fast for me. I don't use the gmail app from Google since BIS has been working great so far.

I've done both at one time or another. I find the Gmail through the BIS does get sent faster than the Gmail app. However, I use the Gmail app.

You can always hit refresh and get it that way. However, I use it as I get a lot of mail and it doesn't take up space on my BB. I also think it's a bit easier to read.
