Getting rid of icons?

Hey guys,

This is my first post here. I've had my 8130 for a week now, and whenever I've had any issues I've turned to these forums. So thanks for all your help.

I haven't been able to figure out this one problem though. I installed BBWeather a few days ago, and I've been having problems with it. It's a bit buggy for me. So I went to delete the application in the options. I turned off the unit and restarted it, and I still find the BBWeather icon on my home screen. How do I get rid of the icon for good? I've tried restarting the unit multiple times, but this icon won't go away!

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

When you say you restarted the unit, do you mean you did a battery pull with the unit on? If not, do that.

Next, try deleting BBWeather using the Application Loader in Desktop Manager. I haven't used BBWeather, so I don't know what the problem might be. But if it still shows as an installed app in the Application Loader, then deleting it there should solve the problem.

JeffH, thanks for your help.

It no longer showed as an app in the Application Loader, but for whatever reason the icon was still there. I figured out the problem. I had to reset the theme I was using. It was a pain to reconfigure all of the fonts and whatnot I had set, but at least I had got rid of that pesky icon.
