( I'm new to the whole BlackBerry thing so forgive me)

1. Where in the heck do I find my pin?! My husband foudn his under options and status...but under what options. I looked under BBM and I dont have a status thing.

2. how do i stop getting alerts on the SMS things(?) about my g mail?

I think thats it for now. I will ask questions as i figure them out.

As for the pin, click on the icon of a wrench, then scroll down to status. When you open that it should have your pin listed above your ESN's.

Now for alerts, that would be edited under profiles>advanced and you can change all your alert styles and tones.

Ok I thank you abou the pin BUT I dont knwo if the the icon of an envelope with a little globe is for texts. my plan doesnt include texting. are all these messages going on a text thing? if they are how do i make them stop going there?

Out of the box, all mesages should go in your mesages folder.

Only text messages are counted as text messages and emails use your data plan.

I can't see who your provider is since I'm on my BB but if you're on Verizon, you can call them and have them block all txt messages on your account so you don't incur additional charges.
