Is there anyway to force 1XEV on a BB pearl? My phone constantly goes from 1x to 1X to 1XEV and I would like to force it to only receive 1XEV while I am home.

I don't know any way to force it. The phone will always try to find the best signal. If you haven't done it recently, you can try updating your PRL. The current (for Verizon as of yesterday) is 51250. You can check yours by dialing #4357* If it's less than 51250, dial *22899 to reprogram your phone.

Select your manage connections icon then mobile network options then network technology and select 1XEV. I did this and my phone is always on 1XEV and as a added side effect it conserves battery life.
