I have an 8120 I have to return to TMo coz it started malfunctioning. But it's a business phone with business data on it so before I return it I need to factory reset it to wipe it clean. Trouble is -- here's the "one arm behind your back" -- not all the buttons are working. Specifically, the trackball scrolls but doesn't respond to being pressed -- nor does the BlackBerry Key or the Back key. So, using those, I can't get into Options. The other keys all seem to work. So: Is there any way to do a factory reset without going to Options?

    Thanks.

You can use the Jl Cmder to wipe it.

Thanks for info ... but ... I took all the steps suggested, but when I double-click the file it says it can't find JL-Cmder: "The specified path does not exist." Any ideas? (FYI Running Vista.)

Ended up going through Desktop Manager>Backup & Restore>Advanced>Advanced and clearing items individually from the Devices Databases list. Not sure if this is a secure as a wipe or factory reset ...
