I have a Pearl 8130 and I recently installed Empower. It seems that shortly after installing this 3rd party software I began losing ,my SMS and my call log. I have an 8GB SD card so memory shouldn't be an issue. Further more I've cleaned out my cache and forwarded old emails to free up memory but this has been no help.
