Emails BOOMERANG back to my Blackberry

Hello Everyone, hopefully someone knows a quick fix for this.

My gmail folder on my Sprint Pearl is not only receiving INCOMING emails but also copies of OUTGOING emails sent from the gmail address.

So if I send a gmail (through the Pearl or my desktop) I will also receive a copy of that gmail on my Blackberry.

The Pearl isn't just displaying SENT messages as well as incoming messages. Its actually receiving (copies of) the gmails it sends as well.

My comcast email accounts do not have this problem.

Any ideas?

That seems to have cured the problem. Although I was wondering if you knew why the default behavior would be set to "boomerang" emails back to you. That seems like such an odd way to default and (as the thread you directed me to demonstrated) it doesn't seem to be how people (myself included) expect it to behave.

I never had this problem with my comcast emails.. is this a gmail exclusive behavior that the filter is the fix for ?

This problem only occurs with gmail. It has to do with how their pop mail is configured.
