Email setup on used phone

I bought my wife a used 8130 and its activated and working on our telus account but when I go to the setup email icon I get an "Device Change" message listing the old owners 2 email addresses with a button that says "Move Email Accounts"

When I click that button I get a "Validation Required" screen that won't let me delete these old addresses without her pasword (which I do not know).

So I thought I might get more luck with BIS so I went there to create an account with the PIN & ESN but I get the "account not accessable from a HTML" message.

So I found a post that said to got on the device to setup email and open the menu and click create new account but that option is not there from the Device Change or Validation Required screens.

I am stuck. I need to clean off her old junk to setup my email.
