In the Email Settings (options > email settings) - there are 3 options -

confirm delivery
confirm read
send read receipts

Can someone enlighten me what these each mean --- ?

1) will let you know an email was delivered.
2) will let you know an email was read.
3) will ask the recipient to send a reply that the email was read, but they can refuse this option.

Does (1) - let you know an email was delivered - require anything on the receiver's part? I don't want to require them to do anything but would like to know it was delivered.

I assume (2) requires them to send read receipt??

Isn't 2 and 3 the same??
