Today my pearl is showing an email icon top of screen (to indicate an unread) email but all messages have been opened. The LED is not flashing (as it is set to for unread messages).

Does anyone know how to remove this please?

Check your saved messages. Likely, you accidentally saved a message before you read it. Happens quite often in these forums apparently.

My Curve always shows 1 message (no blinking light). I have just gotten used to it, but would love to get rid of it! I did one battery pull to no avail. Do you have any other suggestions? Again, this isn't a huge deal, but I would love to fix it.

I recently also had this problem. Turns out if I check voicemail by simply holding 1 instead of accessing it through Messages the message remained unopened. Hope this helps someone!
