Has anyone had the problem of your phone not letting you into anything (BB messenger, emails, texts, etc) but when you try opening anything it keeps dialing 7's and x's? It's been doing that on my 8120 since New years eve. I've done a battery pull a few times, let the battery drain out, and just kept it out for a while......it sometimes seems as if it's going to let me into stuff but I can't actually open it.....not sure what to do

I'd suggest re-installing your OS. It does seem scary, but if you do a bit of searching on this site you'll find a number of places where it gives you a step-by-step guide on how to do this.

Of course, anyone with better/other ideas is welcome to post as well

thanks! if i reinstall my OS, do i lose everything? i.e. phone numbers, pics, etc?????

Most likely your phone got some moisture inside, but you can try your OS first. If you do it properly, you won't loose a thing, and I presume you've never upgraded. The OS you need is listed at the top of this forum. Make sure it's the one for 8120's. Then follow this:
