Hey all... I'm a bit of memory freak and want to have the most space I can on my pearl... Is it safe to delte the email set up app? I know I'm only going to want my gmail account being pushed but will it hurt anything if I get rid of it? What else that is on can I get rid of safely? I delted the pre loaded themes from sprint and wish I hadn't as now the only themes I can use are zen themes and I prefer icon or today style... Any advice? Oh by the way I have an 8130.

Haywirem520,,, its best when you do your editing that you do it from a pc,,, so you can always put something back on, when you need to,,, I prefer stoner's guild which is listed below,,

but I to have wondered about that one, whats your free file up too

It seems logical, it is a one time setup wizard.

    net_rim_bb_setupwizard.cod
    net_rim_bb_setupwizard_app.cod

    About 80 Kb total.

I have not tried it, but it is easy enough to test and verify there are no unexpected consequences.
from the guide,,, i will try it out and get back with ya

The email setup icon is just ain icion shortut to a web address. It takes up virtually no space. It ain't worth deleting, just Menu, Hide it.

As long as you have 12Mb then the phone will be fine. RIM actually say that 5Mb is still OK but they are not running all the wierd sh!t that we do.

As mrhappy123 says, it is better to do this on your PC. To do this, I have written a program and you can download it from here http://forums.crackberry.com/f2/crac...eleased-52044/. It's free too.

Pete6 i do all of my editing just from taking things out of the Java folder then running the desktop manager again,,,

I also believe Haywirem520 was also trying to be a memory freak, like myself,,, I personally have even removed some extra fonts,,, and gained another 0.65 mb,,,

I too used to delete from the Java folder. It was the only way to go. That was why I wrote CrackMem. It gets 90% of the stuff you need out in a couple of clicks. It also has a Put It Back function. Of course you can do better manually but in here, you never know who you are dealing with.

very true pete very true,,, the program crackmem is a very good tool for many people,,,

Haywirem520,,, i took the email set up off my 8130 and didn't get any errors,,

for the 92k you gain, with a pc you would just have to remember it gonna be hard for you to get it back again,,,, im leaving it off mine,,,
