Dead? recoverable?

I have a blackberry pearl 8120, it is dead! so I have trawled the forums and wiped the whole phone getting a 507 error message (apparently the message I wanted!). however I can't reload the OS. I get a message on task 4 of 5 saying that it can't connected to device, I have followed the steps it suggests and tried several times.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have only had this phone since August, but it is out of warranty because I have had my contract 12 months and 1 week! This is the 4th phone I have had within that time! To say I am a little annoyed is an understatement!

I never did get this sorted, using hubby's old phone now, any suggestions?

Theres no way to fix this, Unless you can connect it to your PC
