Trying to help a friend with a new 8130... I've never had this problem and a forum search turned up no answers. His contacts are there but when he goes to compose SMS, there are no contacts. Then he has to sort by last name and they reappear. He can click on a contact and compose SMS from there with no problem. There is plenty of memory. Please help!

It sounds like your friend may have inadvertently filtered his contacts list. In the Address Book, press the Menu button, then select Filter and make sure no boxes are checked.

I have a friend with the same issue. I have looked and looked to see what's wrong. Is this a software issue as I have heard previous versions of the pearl had glitches.

He is running facebook. How does this affect the contact list?

I have this problem too and I have a Storm. One day they are there and the next gone and today they completely went away and I cant get them back

Are your contacts filtered? In the Address Book, press Menu / Filter and uncheck any boxes.
