has anyone had any success, or even tried to change the LED lights from an 8100 to an 8130?

I think the OP might be talking about the feature I have heard some mention: the 81XX series has a multi-color LED under the ball and thus can display different colors.

The 81xx series does not have the multi-colored LED... ONLY the 8100 has it.

well, sorry for the delayed reply. aparently i failed my first attempt.

to answer your question, yes, i mean physically take them out of the 8100 and put them into the 8130. i want to try it, but, i was just wondering if anyone else had tried it already so i could find out if it worked/was worth it/etc.
