    Is there a way to categorize my appointments on my BB 8130 using the same colors I use on Outlook? For example, on Outlook I have work set to blue, school to green, and bills to purple, etc. Is there a way for BB to recognize this?

    Not with the BB calendar. There are some 3rd party apps. that will allow you to customize. Here is one:
