Can't sync email between Outlook 2003 and BB 8110, please help!

Hi!
Am new to the forum, and have spent the past three hours trying to figure this out!

I've installed Blackberry Desktop manager v4.7 but the sync option only offers options for tasks and calendar, emails is greyed out!

I returned the E71 after realising I couldn't sync emails, and assumed that with a BB, having had one years ago, that this wouldn't be an issue.

Any help gratefully received!

Can anyone help? I've been trying to sort this all day and am going a bit crazy!
Have had lots of help setting and resetting passwords, downloading service books and so on from service provider but no joy, reconcile messages is still greyed out in desktop manager.

Any advice very gratefully received.
