When I click the send button or click on the call log icon, nothing happens. My VZW Pearl freezes up, and nothing responds. I can't do anything, but if I hit the red/power key, then it comes back and seems normal. Any idea? Is this a symptom of a memory problem?

Could be. Pull your battery for 30 seconds and put it back in this will re boot your phone using the power button doesn't do anything to reset

I had to do the same thing with my Pearl when trying to access the address book. Is there a reset key combination?

I have had the same problem with address book function as well. Does any one know of a reason or solution?

Go to Options > Status. What do you have for File Free?

I had the same problem with the first pearl i had. I tried everything and got no permanent fix. When I called VZW they seemed to be familiar with the problem and sent me a new pearl. I havent had any problems with this one yet.
