I used to be able to do tehtering on my windows vista 32-bit laptop with my 8130 Pearl.
I got a virus and had to Format the HD and reinstall Vista...
Now when I try to install the Alltel Axcess and run the setup it will find my BB connected to the Com4 port but when it goes to the next screen (something about setting the BB up in the Modems on the computer) it will get stuck there.. and if i try to add a modem the computer will give me a message that it cannot find any plug and play modems attached..
Is there something I am missing or doing wrong or maybe some security that will not allow the computer to find the phone??
Try this. Have dm open and go create a new modem using the com that you saw when using the alltel software. Make it a standard modem. The isrename and password are blank. The # to dial is #777. Make sure you have dm running and try to use your new dial up connection. This worked for me. Hope it does for you
