bypassing phone lock

wassup guys, i have this pearl and im tryin to unlock it w/o havin to take it to the shop..im not talking about the sim card/service lock but the personal lock. is there anyway to bypass it?

My only guess would be to perform a complete phone reset, if there is such a thing. Not really sure how that works though.

Entering an incorrect password 10 times will wipe all personal data from the device, including the password.
