One of my friends has the pearl 8130 with Bell Mobility. She can send files TO her computer through bluetooth, but cant receive FROM her computer. Is it because bell does not want people to have free ringtones? Let me know if there is a way around this.
The most common reason a user is unable to receive files via bluetooth is because they have not set their device to accept incomming files - Research in Motion (RIM) have made bluetooth just that little bit more secure by forcing users to manually switch-on the ability to receive incoming files, every time they want to receive something over bluetooth...
Menu-->Media-->Menu-->Receive Using Bluetooth
The menu key is the one with the BlackBerry logo and if you have not yet "paired" (created a friendship between) the two devices, it will ask you to do this first... You need to allow incoming file transfers BEFORE you try to send the file to the BlackBerry device.
