Blackberry wont turn on- red led light only!
Okay, first of all this happened out of nowhere.
one day i woke up and my phone would not turn on, instead all that happens is the red LED light goes on and off for 5 seconds(ish).
I have tried some troubleshooting;
when i plug it into the wall it does nothing, the red light still flashes
and when i plug it into my computer it does the same thing.
Yesterday i got the phone to turn on by taking out the battery and plugging it in numerous times, but as soon as i plugged it into the computer to see if i could "reformat" the OS, or do an application clean it just turns off again.
thanks, in regards

HELP! new problem with pearl.
Alright, well i followed all of those steps and i managed to get the operating system re-booted.
Everything that i had on my phone is now lost, which is fine as long as my phone works..
BUT, new problem now.
before i could never get the phone to turn on, whether it be plugged in or not.
and it is still the case when i plug the phone in to either the wall, or the computer; it turns off and the red LED light goes on every 5-10 seconds..
also. if the phone is not plugged in i am able to turn it on now; with the exception that i do not have any service and when i try to turn all connections on the radio connection still does not come up.
any suggestions! please help!

Welcome to CrackBerry James.
Your symptoms sound much like a power supply problem.
When you plug it into the wall charger, do you get the charge indicator?
Does your power level increase to full?
Remove the battery and inspect the Gold contacts, if there is any sign of contamination, use a pink rubber eraser to gently clean the contact.
still got issue.
I plugged it into the wall outlet and it did not have the charge LED light.
it still had the red light, the same as when its plugged into the computer thru USB.
I charged it all day, and i just took it off and turned it on and it was not ufll
it was at half battery.
So no, it does not charge fully.
I tried cleaning up the gold plates a bit on both the battery, and inside the back of the phone.
it didnt work..
