blackberry pearl begginer questions

hey guys

i had a blackberry curve 8520 and i got that white screen thing so my friend is giving me a blackberry 8100 in silver and im just wondering a few things i wounder if you guys can help me

q1) ive seen many picture of the blackberry running an os witch looks horrible is their a way to get the os witch my blackberry 8520 ran i think it was on 5.0

q2) im on o2 and i need to unlock it does it cost to get an unlock code?

q3) how easy isit to type with because im used to a qwerty keyboard

q4) what an overall rating for this phone out of 10

I had the 8120 and loved it. The keyboard takes awhile to get used to but many folks prefer it. I think the highest OS it can handle is 4.5 but I might be wrong on that.

hey thank you very much for they reply and i spose all phones take some getting used to im not very good with blackberry os's is 4.5 the defult os for the blackberry curve 9520 and do you no how i can unlock this phone?

You won't get OS5 on your Pearl 81XX device.

1) Nope.
2) Yep. (instant unlocking is not free but it's cheap)
3) it's easy when you get used to it. ;-)
4) for the past time it was 8 old don't worth much when it comes to tech.
