I just got an 8130 and Sprint is my carrier. Does anyone know why there is no wi-fi on this phone and is there a blackberry from sprint that does have wi-fi?

MDroemer's carrier is Sprint a CDMA carrier and the choices would be of the xx30 version of these devices.

Only devices with current WiFi support are the xx20 series devices. All of the next-gen devices and the Nextel iDEN Curve 8350 will have WiFi as well...

8120 is wifi-pearl
8130 is gps-pearl

personally i have the 8120 and the wifi isnt that great. not sure why this post from 2008 is revived.. now-a-days the curve 8520 - wifi curve and 9330 - curve 3g (wifi and gps), pearl 9100 (wifi) all have wifi and are great options to go with....

8130 doesn't have the hardware for Wi-Fi. CDMA BlackBerrys didn't start getting Wi-Fi until the 8530 Curve 2.
