BlackBerry Pearl 2 Coming in September?

Difference shoud be in better camera, slimmer, more colors and maybe GPS...

You are both probably right... rumor has it:

8110 - GPS
8120 - WiFi
8130 - CDMA

Isn't it funny how wifi/gps are mutually exclusive from CDMA.

When will Verizon learn....

If 8120 would work on GSM networks, then it woule be mine...

i just got off the phone with a tech rep from tmobile (internet issues.. which were resolved) and she told me that tmobile is launching the pearl in different colors on sept. 4th.... or was it 14th. one of those. she didn't say that it was the second generation pearls (8120). she says they have already recieved emails with pics and everything. there is a gold color... and reddish pink color... called sunset, and a blue color. she said it was not as dark as navy blue.. but not light blue. that's all the info she could give me. i tried to get her to send me pics.. but she says that they had to be kept internal. whatever!! anyways.. just thought i would share with you guys.

i just need the wifi. i could careless about the GPS. plus, do you have to pay a additional service a month for the GPS.

Honestly, I would be happy if Verizon got a pearl. That is all I am asking for. I would love wifi & gps, but I would settle for one without.

If Verizon doesn't start releasing some new BlackBerrys, I would be swtiching to At&t at my next contract date.

I sent him a pm asking for more pics/details if he has them. I told him to email them to me if he did and I would post them for him since he is new. He did so it would be good for people on Rogers, so it looks like it will be coming to them first.

Hey thanks. Been waiting a long time for this new pearl. It has a new "hard" key pad unlike the first pearl so the buttons should not move around to much.

hey no i beleave that it just has the suretype, but it wont be like the first pearl, it should be alot more ridged.

No matter how beautiful a BB may be, no matter what perks the device might have, if it has suretype I wouldn't use it even if someone gave it to me. I am so spoiled with the full qwerty keyboard that it's hard to make the adjustment.
