Hi. Do a battery pull (removing battery with phone still on). If that doesnt work, re-send your service books.

Go to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, scroll to the bold entry, hit Menu, select "register Now".

That should bring the Browser icon back.

I'll say thanks to everyone as well. My bb 8330 died yesterday and Verizon replaced it on the spot. Since I back up regularly everything went fine, but, no browser. Host routing register now worked.

    Thanks, again.

Why does this happen? I upgraded desktop mgr to 4.5 last night- is it related? In still on 4.2.2 OS- im a noob and am waiting for Verizon to officially release 4.5.

I don't know why it would happen with just a Desktop Manager upgrade. I upgraded to DM4.5 a couple of days ago and it didn't happen to me.

You are wise to wait a while and become familiar with your device before attempting an OS upgrade. And I never recommend installing betas. An OS upgrade is not hard, but it is not trivial, and you can easily get an inoperable device if you don't know what you're doing. You can recover from it, but it's a lot more work.

Welcome to the forums! Be sure to check out the "Getting Started Guide" and the "BlackBerry 101 Lecture Series" under the Newbies tab at the top of the page.
