I just recently got a new battery. I got my pearl used and it came with a bad bat, but anyway I listened to my mp3 player on my pearl for about 25 minutes, got one call in that time which player resumed when I hung up. I received 2 emails later and 3 text messages. Received 2 other short calls and the battery died in a 6 hour span is that normal or is my phone eating batteries????

Ok now I understand your post.

Are you letting apps constantly run in the background?

no I hit menu and close to exit apps but sometime my streaming arrows start flickering all by theirselves. I won't have nothing open in the browser, im is turned off, no incoming emails but it appears to be streaming like it's loading a web page or sending an email. is that normal on a blackberry?

I can go 2-3 days on a single charge. See if you can get a new battery from your carrier.
