why is it when i back up my girlfriends pearl it changes the picture she had set as her wallpaper? If i needed to get the backup info back on the phone how do i go about doing that?

It's a bug in the OS. It doesn't realize the photo is on the media card. You can either reset the image as the wallpaper, or move it to the device memory.

oh ok, lets say i have a brand new blackberry and i needed to put the info i backed up on the phone i do i do that?

With the Back up and restore tool in Desktop Manager.

You can also use the switch device wizard in desktop manager. This will move over apps and stuff too.
