I Do know where the search button is and it has not proven helpful

I have a 8130 VZW I am trying install a few programs and two themes and they wont work my BB desktop. I have tried ver. 4.2 and now 4.3 and it wont work any help would be awesome.

I know this sounds pretty noob. But please a little help. I am ready to be a addict.

furf... maybe I can help. But first I need a little more info. Just what kind of issues or error messages are you seeing?

i was having the same problem. go here to verizon's bb site and download both:

blackberry desktop software v4.3 (updated 11/20/2007) AND
blackberry device software v4.3 (updated 11/13/2007)

download them both to your pc. you will save the .exe files and click to open. then an install wizard will guide you through the rest. it was very confusing to me and i kept having problems loading apps to my device until gadget explained things for me.

after installing both, you should now be able to open your desktop manager and use the application loader. hope this helps. worked for me recently and can now load apps.

Not sure that's it. A theme for the 8100 will work on a 8130.

ah, gotcha. well, if you do have problems loading apps, follow the above steps and that should work. glad you got it figured out

yep, that's what it said for me, too. sorry i didn't mention earlier. following those steps should alleviate the problem for you and then you should be able to load apps. let us know

Nah. Its been going since 3:30 and we are on a static IP with Verizon DSL at work.

Once you have both those programs installed on your computer when you open the desktop manager program you have to click on the add button located close to the top of the desktop manager screen which will open another screen which will allow you to drill down to where you saved the application you want to send to your blackberry! Took me a while to figure that one out myself.
