Alternate Use For Pearl 8130

Hello all. I have a Pearl 8130 with a non-functioning radio. I got a replacement, but I still have this broken phone. It works very well aside from the radio. I decided to use it as an ipod of sorts and just put a larger sd card in it. This got me thinking of what else I could do with it. Is it possible to replace the os with something else, perhaps to make it a media player only? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

You can't replace the OS with anything other than a later 8130 OS version, or possibly a hybrid if one exists. It's good you found a use for an otherwise dead device.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but ya never know. I'm gonna go thru it and see what I can delete without damaging the device (contacts' memo pad, etc). Thanks for the reply.
