Default Address Book didn't transfer w/ Device Wizard

Ok. So I am going backwards in time, for necessity sake.

Had a pearl 8100, the sim card slot broke. Upgraded to the pearl flip 8220. Which I hate. Had a replacement when it would freeze, reboot, freeze, reboot, and drive me up wall.

Replacement had the same issues after about 3 months, funny thing, replacement phones only get a 3 month warranty. So... I'm frustrated and not due for a contract and can't afford another bb until I'm due.

Find a used 8120 for a good price, in decent condition yesterday. Serendipity? Maybe, because tonight, driving home from work, I lose the inside screen on the 8220.

So, I'm happy, go and power up the device manager, run the switch wizard and everything is... ok, not ok. It appears everything transferred over except the most important thing of all (to me, anyway), my 278 contacts in the address book on the 8220.

I tried to restore it manually from the 8220's backup file onto the 8120, with no luck.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I don't have outlook on my computer, so I can't sync that way. I'm at a loss. I can't even do it manually, since I can't see the screen...

Help!!!

Take your devices to the carrier, they should be able to transfer the contacts for you. Best Buy also has a device to do this, and may do it for a nominal fee.

I use to keep my address book and Calendar synced, and is a handy setup to have if a device bites the dust. It is worth considering in the future.

bergerking is right, t-mobile can transfer your info for you, they did it for my mom a few weeks ago when she upgraded from a 8100 to the bold
