I dropped my Pearl (8130) with an Otterbox case, while recharging/plugged into my computer. When I picked it up, I noticed the red LED light on indicating it was rebooting. After booting up (while still plugged in), I pressed a button, and it automatically rebooted. The cycle continued whenever I pressed any button while in recharging mode. When I removed the usb cable, no issues.
So I went home and tried it on my home laptop / recharging it, same results. Also the same results when I have it plugged in directly to the wall. Does anyone know who fix this? Is this strictly a hardware issue?

I noticed a weird white screen saying "App error 523" and the next line says "Reset"...

another time on reboot, it gave me a NO BATTERY sign....

That error code means:

** 523 A critical Java process has died and the device cannot continue to operate normally.

You should try to reinstall your OS. Hopefully you can get it back in full operation.
